Most people assume that recognizing a hand or a face means uploading the video somewhere first. Google’s open-source real-time ML toolkit quietly flips that assumption: face, hand, pose, gesture and object detection all run inside the phone, the browser, or a small embedded board. What this means for ThakiCloud

On-device is just on-prem, shrunk. On-prem means the model and the data both stay inside facilities you control, and the logic is identical whether that facility is a phone or a server room. ThakiCloud runs that same idea at company scale: Metis trains and serves on GPUs sitting in the customer’s own racks, and Paxis drives its agents on top of them.
